FAQ

  • How does a session work?
Join via the Zoom link at your appointed time. Let’s discuss what is going on for you. Where are you on this journey of starting over? *If you choose to include a Reiki energy healing, please let me know how long you would like that session to be (15-30 minutes). During our discussion I will offer intuitive and practical insights to assist your journey. When it is time for Reiki, we will end our Zoom, and you will be instructed to sit/lie somewhere quietly where you will not be disturbed. If you’d like to have soft music, soft lighting, and essential oils or your favorite crystals, this is wonderful. I will be on the other side, providing distance healing. I will text you when I am done. *If you choose a tarot reading, we will do that during the last 15 minutes of our session.
  • How long are the sessions?
    60 minutes
  • Are the sessions and readings confidential?
    Absolutely!
  • What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese word meaning “Universal Life Energy.” Reiki Masters receive attunements to tap into this energy and use it to channel healing energy to you. Distance, or remote Reiki, works according to an ancient principle called the Hermetic Law of Similarity, which states we are all made of energy, we are all connected, and part of a larger whole. I like to think in terms of quantum entanglement or like my WiFi or Radio waves-we just tune in and connect to the energy. Because everything is energy, and Reiki transcends both time and distance. It works on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels and promotes balance and harmony.
  • What kind of Tarot reading will you do?
We consult the tarot to help us open to non-rational sources of information and guidance. In other words, Tarot helps us access subconscious insights and gain perspectives on situations through symbolic interpretations. I will use a 3-card spread at the end of our session. I like to ask the cards for an overview, the issue/challenge, and what action might be helpful. I have found this spread, taught to me by Jungian analyst Ken James, to be more useful than a past/present/future reading.
  • Will you send me a recording?
You can create an audio file if you’d like, but not a video recording of our session. I do not make one because I cannot store them.
  • What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching (what I’ll do here): Focuses on offering guidance, wisdom, and support for navigating life transitions, often drawing from personal experiences. It emphasizes shared insights and practical advice to help you move forward. Therapy & Social Work: Therapy focuses on diagnosing and treating psychological conditions and helping individuals cope with trauma and mental health issues, often focusing on unresolved past experiences. Social Work focuses on the wider social context impacting a person’s life, connecting them to community resources, and advocating for their needs within systems like government agencies.
